Having gone past their 5 year anniversary at the pub, Mark & Ian are still thriving on running a busy and vibrant village pub in the heart of Cornwall
Mark & Ian both enjoy talking to existing customers and welcome new ones.
The pair formally took over at the end of January 2014, they have welcomed patrons new and old to the inn everyday. Increasing custom considerably.
Ian, who is a trained chef, worked at the Packet Newspapers in Falmouth for 11 years, before leaving to follow his dream of running his own pub.
He is joined by his partner Mark, who takes care of front of house. Mark will be a familiar face to many in the Truro area because he was a store manager in the Hendra area of Truro for the previous four years.
The pair have a made a great number of changes including the menu, live music and quiz nights twice a month plus a new fun evening of Gingo which is a combination of Gin and Bengo. This all helps in giving Shortlanesend the local village pub it deserves.
One of the big new focuses was the, fresh and mouth-watering menu, including a Sunday lunch with our full menu. and Fish & Chips every Friday to eat in or take away.
All of the changes seem to have have been welcomed by customers old and new
